Twelve Weeks Old Today

I'm twelve weeks old today and now I get to do a lot of new things... I play with my big sister Zoe until I make her crazy and I love to explore outside on sunny winter days like today.  I have a little area of thick Buffalo Grass and I like to roll and jump around in it (it's also a very nice place to pee and poop).

My Arrival in Santa Fe

I'm a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy born in Seattle Washington on 11/5/10.  I traveled from Seattle to my new parents on 1/6/11 by Alaska Air to Northern California where my parents were visiting my friend (their daughter) Meghan, who is an elementary school teacher in Modesto, California.  Two days later I traveled with my parents to Santa Fe, New Mexico, which will be my permanent home.  I'm now settling in with my older sister, Zoe, who is a nine year old Jack Russell Terrier. When I get a little bigger I'm looking forward to playing with her.  I'm also looking forward to meeting Zack, who is my parents' son and who is a veterinarian in Ventura, California.  He's the one who contacted Barbara Garnett Wilson at Laughing Cavalier Kennels in Seattle and put my new parents in touch with her.  I'm so happy to be at my new home...
