Skippy's Easter Egg Hunt 2012

Dad just got back from working in California last night and Mom had an Easter Egg hunt planned for me  today, Easter Sunday.

Fun, Fun, Fun...

 I found lots of eggs, little ones, middle sized ones, and a few big ones.

 I finally got one opened.  Oh Boy, beef jerky.

 It's a lot of fun to play with the eggs, too

By the way, why is everyone looking at me like I'm a bunny.....

Mardi Gras - Skippy and his friend Gracie!

I had a great Mardi Gras this year.

My Aunt Blythe, Uncle Ray, Mom, Dad, and my friend Gracie had a party with New Orleans food, but I had to stay home with my sister Zoe, because she doesn't play well with other dogs.

But, they brought some of the Mardi Gras King Cake back for me!

It was delicious, or actually the liver treats they stuck in the cake were great.  When I began to eat the cake itself Mom took it away from me.  She said it wasn't good for me.  I did enjoy the colorful cake and king hat, even though us dogs don't see colors as brightly and we can't see red and green like you humans.

Here is my friend, Gracie.  She has the Mardi Gras crown and also some beads.  Gracie really enjoyed the Mardi Gras party.

I'm Getting Ready For Christmas!

I had such a great time running and jumping around in the first snowfall in Santa Fe that I needed a rest... fun, fun, fun

Elf - what's an elf?  I'm not sure that I want to be something I don't know anything about and wears a jingle bell hat.

My Third Frisbee

I have a new purple frisbee.  This is my third one because I chewed the other two so much that they wouldn't fly.  They are fun and they are very delicious!

Finally My First Birthday!

I'm one year old.  I guess that means I'm not a puppy anymore.  They still treat me like a puppy.  What's up with that?

My First Halloween

I decided to be a "Devil Dog" for Halloween.  In Santa Fe I didn't even get one "Trick or Treater" - they probably heard about the "Devil Dog" and were afraid...

My Trip To Ventura, California

I visited Ventura, California where Zack and Andrea live, in the beginning of September.  I had a great time visiting with Belle and one day we went to the beach to fish for surf perch and sharks.

 Andrea, Mom, and Zack are with Belle and me before we started fishing.  I'd never been fishing before and I was really excited. 

I really liked the beach... I might become a La Conchita Beach Boy

There were lots of Sand Crabs.  They crawl around in the surf, but they didn't look very good to eat.

Andrea and Zack caught lots of Surf Perch.  This one looked pretty good, but I wanted to wait for another one.  We didn't catch any sharks that day, but the next day we caught one Thornback Shark and one Shovelnose Guitarfish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shovelnose_guitarfish).  

This Surf Perch looked delicious and Andrea had to keep me away.  Looks like my regular dog food tonight, too bad...

I had a GREAT trip!
